Gallery Prints

These images have been formatted to include a think black border with a tile and my name below the image. These prints will be mounted on styrene for ease of mounting in a frame. A spacer is used in the print frame to separate the glass from the print. I am offering these in a 16X20 inch print. Please contact me to inquire if you are interested in larger sizes.

Green-breasted Mango

Green-breasted Mango captured at full extension of the wings and tail. The image displays the spectacular irridescense of the feathers in great detail. This image was made on the Caribbean slope of the Cordillera Talamanca, east of San Jose, Costa Rica.

This image was selected as the Grand Prize winner of the Audubon Magazine’s 2010 Birds In Focus photography contest.

The image is printed on Kodak Professional Supra Endura Metallic paper to best present the iridescence of the hummingbird’s feathers.

Green Hermit

Green Hermit photographed on the Caribbean slope of the Cordillera Talamanca, east of San Jose, Costa Rica.  To find enough nectar in a day, the hermit follows routes that cover multiple potential food sources; the hermit’s routes are typically 300 to 500 m.  These routes include lodge gardens, where this bird was photographed.

Seeing is Believing

While mostly true, occasionally the eye can be fooled. This appears to be an earthworm on some leaf litter. It is. But the worm is four feet long and 1-2 inches in diameter. Photographed in Sumaco, Ecuador.
