Introduction to Rainforest Photography
Registration
Registration consists of the completion of an online registration form and a deposit to secure your place on a workshop. Once a registration form has been accepted your place on the workshop will be confirmed in writing and you will be issued a confirmation invoice. Read the Detailed Itinerary for specifics of what is included in the workshop price, and what is not included in the price.
Payment
A deposit of $500 is required at time of reservation and your payment balance in full a minimum of 90 days prior to the workshop date. If the balance is not received on or before the due date, we will try to fill your spot off the waiting list. If your spot is filled, you will lose your deposit only.
Deposits for this tour are non-refundable unless the workshop is cancelled due to not meeting the minimum number (5) of participants required. If we cancel the workshop for any reason, your deposit and balance (if paid) will be returned. The tour fee is based on double occupancy; however, single rooms are available for an additional fee of $309. For participants traveling alone but wishing to share a room, we will try to arrange for a roommate. If a roommate is not available, the single supplement will be charged.
Confirmation
I’ll confirm receipt of your registration information with an email detailing how to send your deposit. If you don’t receive a confirming email in a couple of days, please advise me using the contact form.
I will also be forwarding information regarding the trip including detailed lodging and transportation information, equipment suggestions, clothing guidelines, luggage requirements, travel tips, important contact numbers and anything else that pertains to this specific workshop.
Attendees will also be asked to summarize what skills they have and what areas they feel they need help with the most in terms of advancing their skills. This gives us a chance to get some background and also allows us to design the workshop programs with the individual needs of the participants in mind.
Cancellations and Refunds
Refund of workshop payment (not including deposit) will be made if cancellation is received up to 90 days before departure. After this time, all deposits and payments are not refundable unless we fill your spot from our waiting list or find a replacement for your spot. If you cancel, we will work with the travel service providers in Costa Rica to provide as much refund as possible, however, no refund is guaranteed.
We reserve the right to cancel this workshop for which there are insufficient reservations not less than 60 days before the departure date in which case a full refund of workshop deposit and workshop fee paid to me will be refunded in full.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly advised. While we all anticipate that we will be ready for the trip, unforeseen circumstances and emergencies can arise unexpectedly. Since this trip includes international travel, ensure the plan you select covers medical evacuation insurance. Two companies offering travel insurance that come highly recommended are listed here, although there certainly other options available on the internet and at travel providers such as AAA. I have no association with either provider listed here.
